She listened to the other dead girl intently, letting her finish, not interrupting her at all. “Drawing is alright I guess, to be honest though, I prefer painting,” she shrugged, fiddling with the ends of her hair. “Music, that’s one thing I love. Who do you like? Like, what artists or bands and such.”
"I’ve never actually painted." Alexa licked her lips, running a dainty hand through her dark curls. "I’d like to try it sometime— maybe I will." She added the new hobby to a mental list, another thing to kill time while imprisoned in the house. Alexa raised her brows and smiled. "Oh jeez, so many." Searching in her mind for her favorites, she decided to tell her one of the many bands she enjoyed. "Blondie, Queen, Pink Floyd.." her voice trailed off and she shrugged.
“Just slightly,” he shrugged. But honestly, he didn’t care about what anyone thought about him. His only aim in life is to be as nice as possible to those who deserve so, and this girl definitely deserved so. “Fair enough, sounds interesting,” he admitted with a smile. He honestly didn’t know what this girl thought about him. Maybe she thought he was fake too? And the mention of Beau, he didn’t know who he was, but he must be lovely. He had heard a few other ghosts talking about this Beau before, it was just a shame he hadn’t met him personally.
"That’s horrible. I wish someone had been as nice to me when I was alive like you are." she smiled softly. It made her think that just one person could’ve changed so much. Her attitude, her friends, her future. But instead, people judged and criticized her. And now, she’s dead and trapped in a jail-like house. "It honestly isn’t so interesting. There’s not much to do." Alexa raised her shoulders and let them drop into a shrug. The days in the house passed by slowly and she always did the exact same things; almost like an unwanted routine. "What about you? What do you like to do?"
The sweet words of reassurance from Alexa’s lips caused a bright smile to appear on his own. For the first time in what seemed like a lifetime, his smile was genuine, and not some fake smile to keep people from asking too many questions. He was happy. Why he was so elated was something that even he couldn’t answer. He had no explanation for why he took such a quick liking to the brunette that was beside him. Maybe it was because in some ways, she reminded him of himself and he wished to help her in the ways that nobody had when he first had been inducted into the afterlife. Or maybe it was because she was everything that he was not. Like two pieces of a puzzle, they fit together perfectly just where the other left off.
After a long moment of silence, her bright hues glanced over at the blond haired boy before crawling onto his lap. She wouldn’t normally do this, but he made her feel comfortable around him and loved the feeling of being so close. Looking up at him, she smiled and pressed her lips onto his pale cheek. She wrapped herself under his arms, her own around his, a sudden sense of safety. Alexa backed away to take in every little detail of his perfectly structured face, a small sigh of happiness escaping from her lips. “You make me so happy.” she whispered, her small finger tracing shapes into his arm. “You made me forget about the hell i’m in, atleast for a little while.” Alexa bit her lower lip and felt her face turn hot, turning into a shade of pink. She realized how much she preferred being deceased— no one ever cared for her when she was alive. And now, she had someone who cared for her and someone to care for.

“No!” Tate practically yelled, his voice echoing throughout the room, as his hand reached for her leg as a reflex. Her soft, cold skin underneath his fingertips made goosebumps form on his own skin. His eyes flickered down at the action and he quickly pulled his hand away yet again. “I-I mean…” He sighed as he fumbled with trying to speak and form words. It was incredibly odd for him to get so nervous around a member of the opposite sex like this; it was odd for him to get nervous around anybody for that matter. He cleared his throat and scratched the back of his neck, looking up at Alexa, and trying to speak once more, “I just don’t want you to go…not yet.” His eyes searched for any kind of reaction on her face. He was crossing his fingers that his actions wouldn’t scare her off. This was the first time he’s ever felt awkward and tried so hard to make sure he said and did the right things to keep someone around. Even if she would just end up as a friend, he wanted her to be around.
She shuddered under his small, sudden touch, hearing an almost loud yell make it’s way out of his mouth. It didn’t scare her, no not one bit. Infact, Alexa felt strangely flattered by his action. He didn’t want her to leave and that was something so different for her. Who ever she had met before seemed to almost die for her to scatter along away from them instead. That was normal for her.. not this. The way Tate treated or spoke to her made her feel so— wanted, with the slightest importance even. With raised brows and a smile, she looked at the blond before her. “Relax.” she whispered and cocked her head. How was it possible to care for someone so much in such a short time period? She licked her lips, unable to find an answer to her own question. “Then I won’t, I promise.” she responded with a soft, delicate smile. If her heart could beat, it’d be out of her chest at that very moment.
K nodded her head in agreement. “I wish it weren’t true Lex, I really do.” She had noticed the girl tear up, then blink the tears away, and that was when K started to feel a pang of admiration for this girl. She was desperately trying to be strong and not let her guard down, and that was something most people in the house forget to do. They just mope around, purely because they’re dead. Deciding to change the subject, she focused her gaze on the wall, transfixed. “So, what did you do for fun? Before being stuck here, that is.”
Alexa took in a deep breath, the tears that were forming in her eyes now completely gone. “For fun?” She began to search in her mind for what she used to do, other than hang around with her friends. “I honestly didn’t do much other than waste my life away with those idiots I told you about.” she shrugged, a tiny smirk on her lips. “But I guess you could say I liked to draw, or listen to music.”
Alexa laid down on couch, wrapped in the soft blankets she had dragged along with her. “I absolutely hate that sudden feeling of emptiness and grief. Damnit.” she spoke to herself, staring into the nothingness.
//Jakub has made me forget about my bby Alexa
no one loves her anyways~
Tate slipped his hand out of hers slowly. Not out of embarrassment as it was before, rather it was more of a shying away from her. He was in disbelief. Half at the fact that he had just kissed her supple lips, which was still making his head spin, and the other half at the fact of the words she just spoke. All this time, he was torturing himself by debating whether or not he should make any kind of move as the one he just did and she wanted it to happen all along. His head hung low as he felt the blood rushing to his cheeks. From under his eyelashes he peaked up at her, her wide smile only making a mirrored once appear on his face, dimples showing and all. “No, that wouldn’t be weird.” He chuckled softly, looking down once more and he picked at his nails. He was awkward in these kinds of situations; more than awkward- he was completely incompetent. There was a silence that fell between the two of them as they both sat on the bed, facing each other with their heads bowed, not saying a single word. After a moment of almost unbearable awkwardness, he had to be the one to speak up and break the quiet. “So…what now? A murderer just tried making a move on you. Isn’t this the part where you run as fast as you can in the other direction?” A nervous laugh filled the room as he chewed on his lower lip, awaiting her answer.
Alexa placed her hands back onto her own lap, fiddling with her thumbs. The feeling in her gut was still there since they’d killed, but she didn’t mind it one bit. She’d never felt butterflies before. Who would’ve thought it’d happen after dying? Alexa’s eyes remained on him, not able to pry the grin off her face. Seeing Tate smile only made the feeling spread throughout her body, tingles everywhere. Silence filled the entire room and they sat in awkwardness for various minutes, and she kept playing with her fingers. A smile revealed her teeth as he spoke. “Mm, no. I don’t think so.” Alexa laughed slightly and shook her head, her dark curls moving along with her. She didn’t want to leave, not now not ever. His presence just made her feel so good— so important and wanted. “I mean, unless you want me to.” A shrug fell over her shoulders.
Her voice fascinated him; almost like a lovely song. Something about her drew him in. He wasn’t sure if he liked it or not, so he’d spare her until he found out. “It actually is tough, but you wouldn’t understand I suppose.” He smirked as he grabbed her hand from her chest and grasped it tightly so she wouldn’t let go. “There’s something I like about you,” He said smoothly as he walked up the stairs with her, “Not being afraid of me, confident of your words, beautiful face, all interesting aspects of your character, but not what draws me in. I want to get to know you. Maybe I won’t have to hurt you.”
She rolled her bright blue eyes at him. Oh please, how hard could it be for Tate? She just imagined the lives he took away. It should be difficult for them— not for him. “Oh, i’m sure.” Her tone was sarcastic and witty as she refused to believe a word he said. Alexa winced slightly as he grabbed her hand tight and pulled her along with him, feeling his fingers press hardly against her fragile skin. “I can’t say I feel the same.” Lies. Something about his devious smile and his dark voice lured her in, making her want more. Alexa wondered where she was being taken to but remained silent, following behind him like a puppy.
